iPhone Game Review: Word Ace (FREE!)

Word Ace is probably the most fun iPhone game I’ve played in a long time. I’ve come to find that the games that I have the most fun with are the ones I can come back to at any time (like high score sort of games) and ones that have internet multiplayer.

The best way describe Word Ace is that it is Texas Hold’em mixed with Scrabble. And that is exatly what it is. It’s exactly Texas Hold’em, making hands out of your two cards and the 5 cards on the table while betting in between each flop. But instead of being your normal playing cards, each card has a letter on it and points valued. So instead of making a hands out of your 2 cards and the cards on the table, you make the best word out of the cards. The concept is so simple, but its also brilliant and I don’t know how no one has done this before.

You always play online against 3 other players, you have a profile with your stats and pic, theres a friends list, and achievements. The game even gives you 1,000 chips per day, keeping you coming back.

The best part is that this game is free. So download it immediately and you won’t be disappointed. On a side note, I thought this idea was so cool that I think I’m gonna try to make cards like this in real life to be able to play with actual people around a table.
