Fieldrunners has long been proclaimed as one of the best games on the iPhone, which is why I decided to check it out. The reason I haven’t downloaded it until now is that I really haven’t liked tower defense games too much; but I also haven’t tried them out enough to know for sure I guess.

Well those who proclaimed are right. This game is awesome. It’s well polished, been updated to basically offer free DLC, and its super fun. It’s your typical tower defense game, nothing special about it really. It’s just the best of what it is. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you can stick with the easy difficulty and beat it in a couple tries. If you really want to strategize, then go right for hard mode and you’ll have a blast.

Fieldrunners is definitely worth $1.99. If you really don’t like tower defense games, then don’t get it. But if you think even think tower defense games are “okay” or “alright,” then buy it now.
