iPhone Review: Real Racing ($9.99)

Real Racing is yet expensive game on the iPhone. It is a simulation racing game, so more like Forza Motosport or Gran Turismo than an arcade racer like Burnout or Need for Speed. You automatically accelerate and can break by touching the screen (or you can have the game break for you). You steer, of course, by tilting. One of the cool things about the game is that there is a slider for how much it auto-brakes for you, so you have full control over how you want to play. I noticed that the game is much easier (and a heck of a lot more fun) in the default cockpit view, as opposed to the third-person view of the back of the car.

This game looks amazing and has tons of circuits and cars to choose from. It’s awesome and full of anything you’d want from a simulation racing game (for any platform). If you like sim racing games, then buy it immediately. It’s well worth $9.99 for you. But if you are like me and suck at those games, then you might not enjoy it as much.

As a side note, it is said that this has been the most expensive iPhone game to develop (nearly $1 million).
